Secret Chat

The first and important feature of this application is secret messaging. You can start secret conversation with anyone you like and can chat secretly. No one can hack or read your messages. It is highly encrypted message and even Telegram servers doesn’t keep any traces of secret messages. You can also self destruct the message after some time. It will automatically delete all messages after defined period. Both the device will have a unique encryption key which will look same. These key will ensure the message is sent to right person. Developers say that this chat is much secured and has declared a prize money of $200,000 who can hack and decrypt the security of this app!

Cloud Based

This application comes with cloud messaging service that means you can access Telegram from any supported devices! I have installed it on my computer too. The computer version is unofficial and still in beta mode. But then too it works pretty well. You don’t need any emulator or any other software to run application. It is purely a windows application. All versions has a log out button which you can use to log out from Telegram. You don’t need to uninstall the software.

Telegram is a free application and they do not charge even a single penny for the service. It is free for lifetime. It is also ad free application so you will not get any types of ads too. The makers of Telegram says it is fast than any other application. It is true I tried it but at some point of time I experienced slow message delivery. I think this is just because it is new application and still needs some improvement.

The application is partially open source project. Open source means anyone can modify and distribute this software freely. This helps other developers to check out the structure and coding used in Telegram app. It is also protocol free for everyone. Which makes messages safer.

No Limits on Chats and Media

You can chat as much as you want. There is no limit on data size also. You can send large data at once. You can chat with 200 people at same time! It is best and easy to use and handle all at once. You can also form a large group of 100 peoples. It’s double from WhatsApp.
